The Beginning of my Journey
It was the first day of my freshman year the first time i had ever stepped in that gate I was really nervous because it was another step in life High school although i was nervous i was excited to see along my way through the memories one day I will make and the big journey that was waiting for me for the next four years. As days, weeks went by I began getting used to High school I would not be as nervous as i was at the beginning of the year. I would have many good days and some bad but mainly good days my first day of school was a disaster. Many people say they walked into the wrong class I'm glad I didn’t what occurred to me was during lunch I was waiting in line to buy straw hat pizza I was up next in line when a tall senior came thru and took my place in line and ordered his lunch he bought the last pizza box so I had to eat cafeteria food for my first day of school. It was bit difficult for me to stay on pace with my classes as a freshman because when you are a freshman you don't really take things serious and you are still very immature. As my freshman year i experienced new things many things were new to me and i was not sure how high school worked until the end of first semester got closer. The reason why everything was new to me was because my whole class was the first class who did not go to Garvey which was the old middle school in Lindsay we all got held up in elementary two more years and everything was just like elementary so the day i walked in high school everything was a huge change going to high school from an elementary school to high school. Something great i enjoyed was i met new people and i made new friends there was tons of new people i got to make new friendships with not just my old friends but new ones. One thing i did not really enjoyed was that i did not have classes with my old friends i only had them for P.E but it was fine because that was how i met the rest.Their was many nice beautiful memorable moments that i had this year other than making new friends i met new great teachers my freshman year having Mr.Gutierrez as my Spanish teacher was amazing i enjoyed how well he taught his classes also Miss Hellwigg. Another memorable thing i enjoyed during high school was my basketball journey I played basketball for the first time I really enjoyed paying I made it in the team I met Danielle, Kathryn and Valerie some great girls. I loved how I learned new skills i enjoyed going to practice everyday after school. Some of my interest were joining adventure club I actually did join adventure club but it was not really what I thought it would be.As a freshman i do not know yet what I’d like to do after high school or what my plans are I would like to got to college but I quite don’t know what to do yet to get there. In order to know what i need to do and how to get their I will see my counselor so she can help me get there.Plans that I’ve had about having as my career is being an orthodontist because I have braces and I find it really interesting seeing my doctor do her job. I would like all my high school years to be the most memorable moments before becoming an adult. Not just memorable but also filled of joy and fun and be involved in many things as possible I can and also stay out of trouble. This will help me have the best memory I would be able to keep for the rest of my life and remember my high school years as the greatest.
Half Ways
Sophomore year finally!!! I’m not a freshman no more High school has been great so far I made new friends last year I got the hang of my classes but I have to keep trying to stay on pace on my classes.High school has started to go by really fast my freshman year flew in a blink of an eye I became a sophomore.Something that I have not liked about this year has been that our class had to take the Cahsee test and we are the last class that would have to take it as a requirement to graduate I studied a lot for this test and then after our sophomore class took it was no longer required. This year my most memorable moments have been my weight training class out of all because I met my new friends Stephanie, Lyzette and Aileen we have many things in common. Weight training class was amazing I really enjoyed this class because I learned new things I had never in my life lifted up weights but once I tried it and every time we would max out I got a bit stronger than I usually am.Also, I have Beginning guitar class I learned how to play the guitar I learned preludes and other music I even played in a guitar night recital with my class in front of many parents.I Am interested in many things but this year I was not as involved as I was my freshman year I did not play any sports this year but I still had plenty of fun. Even Though I was interested in playing this year I was not able to because I had to help out a bit more at my house with my parents. As time goes by I see how important it is to have an education so I decided I’am planning on going to college I'm not quite sure where exactly to go but I know that I will and I have to have a great future to help my parents. In order to go to college I know that my counselor can help me with that but myself I know that I need to have a career pathway and meet LHS requirements to graduate although I do not know all the requirements. My alternate plan for after High school is attend to either College of the Sequoias or Porterville College. My career terms in what I see myself becoming someone one day would be a orthodontist or a teacher I’m not sure what teacher or for what grade but I'm sure as my high school years go by i will find out what most interests me.Throughout my high school years I would like to take Spanish classes all my four years of high school. I would also like to get to play basketball again and get more involved because I’m just a sophomore and I'm half ways through high school and I heard from the upper class men their advice to us as lower class men to stay on pace and stay involved to enjoy our years here at LHS because time flies in High school and next time you know it I will be a senior.
Almost There
Finally almost there it is my junior year and I need to get on pace on all my classes and try to not fall behind because in one year I will become a senior. High school has been so far very good for me I have enjoyed these past years but I need to stay on pace for all my classes to not fall behind. I fell behind in some of my previous years but I know I can finish and catch up. Some of the most memorable moments from this year has been participating in color guard and performing in the Lindsay’s Orange Blossom parade I learned many routines in color guard which were very fun and entertaining. As in my past two years of High school I said how I was really interested in playing basketball once again for my High school this year I came in really excited for basketball season because I knew I was going to try out and give my best to make it on the team. Basketball season got here it was time for winter sports and I went to conditioning and then try outs were coming up I felt more secure of trying out for the team than I did my Freshman year I understood plays. I ended up making the Junior Varsity Team which I thought this was great as long as I made a team and got to play again. My new coach was great I really enjoyed how well Coach Izzy taught all of my teammates and I our plays I met new teammates and our Coach always told us that we were not just a team we were family and we would give all of our best out there in the court. After High school I’am planning to go to college I understand that I need to be prepared for it and I know what I have to do in order to succeed for it. In order to go to college I need to stay on top of deadlines I need to work hard to turn in my work on time I need to apply for my Financial Aid Take tests and try my hardest. At school also try not to fall behind because then it will count against me. After High school I would like to go to College of the Sequoias for two years and then transfer to a four year University either CSU Bakersfield or CSU Fresno. For my term career I would like to become a High school Spanish teacher because it really interest me how great being a Spanish teacher can be I see it in my Spanish teacher Mrs.Cabrera who is the best Spanish teacher ever and one day I would like to become like her.For the rest of my high school I would want to enjoy it with my friends my teachers and get help from anyone to stay on pace and not fall behind I’am thankful for all my teachers who have helped me from my previous years and this year. I want my rest of High school to be fun but also to learn new things because time flies and next thing I know I will be a senior at LHS.
Finally!!!
Finally this is it!!! I Am very happy to be a senior although a bit nervous. My Senior year has been so far stressing because I have been working on my incomplete courses but I know I can finish. In my Senior I am at finishing up my work meeting deadlines I Am behind on History because it is the subject I mostly struggle with but I am getting plenty of help from Mrs.Torres.I right now am not on pace to graduate because of my history and biology but i can finish. Right now for my senior project I have been working on my Job Shadow. The most interesting thing that has been for me in my senior project was being able to write about my previous years and being able to job shadow. Throughout my Senior year I have been looking forward to run for homecoming queen and to get involved as much as I can in school activities and more. My goals for this year are to stay on pace on all my classes to not fall behind meet all my deadlines and accomplish all my missing assignments to finish and be able to graduate. My goals for the future are also to apply for college and take my placement test. Also, to meet all my requirements so that one day I can become a High school Spanish teacher.
Half ways to the end
I Am almost there graduation is around the corner and I am really nervous about graduation because it is a big step anyone takes in life. Graduation is not just about graduating High school it is about how you have worked hard these past four years and how prepared you are to go on with your future career life. I Am also nervous about graduation because I have to meet deadlines and try my hardest to not fall behind because I am considered as a young adult and soon I will have to become responsible for myself and learn how to live in the real world. Some preparations I have done for post- High school is that I have taken my placement test for college I took my SAT and I have filled out my Financial Aid, Cal Grant and met with my college counselor to pick my classes. What I need to do in order to move on to college is keep finishing up my incomplete classes and go to the orientation to pick my classes and schedule. I Am most looking forward to learning new things in college and being able to complete my courses to have the career I want one day. Also. I am looking forward to graduation prom grad night because it is my last year in High school and I want to spend it with my close friends. I am mostly grateful for my parents for all my teachers and staff from Lindsay High school because without them I would not be graduating or have their support to meet and accomplish my goals. I am also very happy to have such great parents who have always believed in me and known that if I fall I can always get up again.Looking back into my senior year all my experiences and lessons I have learned have been amazing I was really nervous at the beginning of the year because I was a senior knowing I had to set a good example to all the lower class men and give them advice about their High school years. My advice to all lower class men is for them to stay on pace in all their classes do not fall behind keep trying you’re hardest and enjoy it all because your four years at LHS will fly by and it is only a once in a lifetime experience.
